Method
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a large baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
- Press the sugar cookie dough evenly onto the prepared baking sheet to form a large rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick. This will be your crust.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown. Let the cookie crust cool completely on the baking sheet.
- While the crust cools, prepare the cream cheese frosting. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and softened butter together with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
- Beat in the vanilla extract. Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing until well combined and the frosting is fluffy.
- Once the cookie crust is completely cool, spread the cream cheese frosting evenly over the surface, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Arrange the fruit on top of the frosting to create a flag design. Place blueberries in one corner for the stars. Use sliced strawberries and raspberries to create red and white stripes.
- If using, place mini marshmallows in the blueberry section to represent stars.
- Chill the fruit pizza for at least 30 minutes before slicing and serving. This helps the frosting set.
Notes
You can use other fruits like kiwi, mandarin oranges, or bananas for additional color and flavor. Ensure all fruits are washed and dried before arranging them on the pizza.
