Method
- Toast your bread, if you wish, and let it cool for a few minutes. This helps prevent wilted lettuce.
- Spread mayonnaise on 3 pieces of cooled toast.
- On one slice, add lettuce and tomato. Season the tomatoes with salt and pepper.
- Place a second piece of bread, mayonnaise side down, on top of the first slice. Add more mayonnaise to the top of this second piece.
- Stack the ham, turkey, bacon, and cheese on the second piece of bread. Top with the last slice of bread, mayonnaise side down.
- Use a sharp knife to cut the sandwich into triangles. Use toothpicks to hold the layers together.
- Turn the sandwich on its side to display the layers.
- Serve immediately.

This sandwich is best served immediately after preparation.
